They can provide you with information about our wish-list and make sure that your efforts meet the current needs of our students. We are looking for potential volunteers with the following strengths:

• Committed to helping children
• Independent mind set
• Creative problem solvers
• Willing to give up many comforts
• Ready to focus on children rather than personal luxuries
• Can handle living in hot and rainy climate
• Can handle being surrounded by poverty
• Can handle a demanding living situation
• Can live in a remote area
• Can process several problems and challenges at once
• Can keep a good humor in the face of adversity

We ask that all volunteers commit to a minimum of five months as this is the length of one semester. Some volunteers however, will stay on for one year or longer.
